This is the second of five pieces recently completed as part of a new series, The Carnival, slated for a solo show that had to be rescheduled. It encompasses carnivals and related entertainment that are part of the fabric of our society. These were all each executed fairly quickly and in rapid succession, requiring 5-6 days (and nights) each.

As a commercial illustrator years ago, I learned to work with unrealistic deadlines and resort to whatever methods would yield the fastest results with the most impact. Similarly here, I brushed urethanes on board instead of canvas using a lot of fast glazing since the uros dry instantly. Airbrush was employed sparingly.

These were really a lot of fun to produce and I should have the series together in short order, after which I can return to my billboard cityscapes fulltime.
