Title: Duane
Medium: Urethane and oils on canvas

I thought the title was a bit humorous, if indeed it turned out that the sumo wrestler's name was actually Duane!
This was finished last month, but since I have several other pieces in the works, I procrastinated until now. What struck me in the original reference photo (taken by one of my talented sons on my behalf) was the anachronism of the billboard, particularly since Hyundai means "modern" in Korean.
The other anomaly, of course, is the total absence of impact on anyone in the crowds passing by underneath this visually imposing, and somewhat grotesque advertisement.
