This is from a shot I took on the train on my way into NY. This may be my best work to date, and it only took me three days to paint, about thirty hours, lots of airbrush as in the fluorescent light reflections and pole to make them look blurry to emphasize the movement on the train... was fairly easy compared to what I am used to, just a few easy windows, no people, and no magazines. The birds were the hardest part. I like the way the indoor train lighting came out, particularly as part of the sky. I know this is not typical of the cityscape series Walkin' NY, but it is the quieter side of living in a condensed area. It also is odd how this is normally overlooked by those living in or passing through the city. It could be nice to do a lot of these where I don't have to contend with windows, people, and all the excrutiating detail that goes with it. The reason I entitled it 'The Day After' was to see if you would bother reading all this prior to commenting and also if you immediately realized it really is a photo and not a hyperrealist painting, since the title 'The Day After' is referring to the day after April Fool's day! So, gotcha! Now be honest, did I get you with this one or are you just too wise? I figured if I did this yesterday, it would have been a dead giveaway... no pencils no airbrush no paint so much easier than all that hard work, eh..and it looks just like a photo likely because, well, it is.. click

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
